I'm so excited to share my new logo and profile pic with you! This has been in the works for months and I'm so happy to finally see it all come together! This is my 100th cover (not counting compilations/re-recorded extended versions), so I wanted to do something special to mark the occasion.
This arrangement was a lot of fun to play, which hopefully you can tell from the video! I embraced more of that almost-silly fun this time around (especially the finger snaps, I know I know lol). It also features the most videos I've ever had on screen at the same time before. I even had to make a new video guide for it!
Musically, I was inspired after the Soundole Chill Out Competition last month and wanted to do something a bit more jazzy for the GameGrooves Heat Up Cover Competition this month. Enter a lot of mallet parts with fun harmonies and groovin' drum/aux. percussion parts! I definitely wanted to start dancing while I was recording all those finger snap videos. I also want to bring some special attention to the piano part: I've been working on practicing those arpeggios and I hope you can tell! Of course, you know it wouldn't be a V-Ron Media cover without some tasty marimba rolls in the outro too. Somehow I found a way to fit in everything and then some, which seems fitting for the first video with the new logo. :)
Fun fact: The Melee All-Star Rest Area theme is actually from the Kirby Super Star Rest Area theme, which is actually from the B section of the Float Islands theme from Kirby's Dream Land... so technically this is a Kirby cover and a Smash Bros. cover!
