Character Customization is a big part of Rogue Fable III, and there are many different classes to play, and many different races you can be, which all play very differently, and can be combined to play the kind of character you want. Cool!
Rogue Fable 3 has 10 classes, like the Warrior, Duelist, Necromancer, or Enchanter, and 8 races, like a troll that heals super fast, but get super hungry!
Or a vampire, that only heals on blood! Or a mummy, who eats nothing, but can’t use potions, because they have no metabolism!
It is good to see meaningful choices to be made at character creation, and not being limited to a tiny selection of maybe 4 options, and sometime not even that!
No! In Rogue Fable III (RFIII), you can be the Warrior Fairy, Gnome Barbarian, or Ogre Magi, of your dreams! YES!
Environmental effects are a huge part of RF III, as they massively change how you approach the combat, causing you watch where you step, as the water or vines could render you unstable, and easily crit, while wading in water makes you vulnerable to shocking damage.
I didn’t even mention the exploding mushrooms, bear traps, freezing cold, and more! YES! The
Dungeon Environment is the key opponent you face, with the monsters only 1 of the many threats coming for your adventurer booty. Prepare thyself bold one!
As a Traditional Roguelike, Rogue Fable3 is packing the awesome
Procedural Generation, Permadeath, Turn based, top-down, Tactical rogue like action enthusiasts crave, and is very approachable, with full mouse control, if you don’t care for the old keyboard warrior ways. Though, those remain an option, and are just a bit of key rebinding away if you wish. You are not forgotten Roguelike warriors!
RFIII is also packing a delicious retro soundtrack, driving you forward with the bright sounds in addition to the bright pixel graphics and effects, creating a surprisingly cheery environment for tough and engaging dungeon battles.
With procedural generation of the dungeons, awesome loot, meaningful choices and LVL Ups, and perma death so the player actions have weight and consequence, Rogue Fable III offers all the Rogue-like, turn-based good stuff! Watch?
