Alldocube iWork GT Review | Windows Productive Tablet (2022)
Who should actually keep track of the nomenclature of the manufacturer Alldocube? We deal with topics like these every day and even we sometimes lose track. After the iWork 20 was introduced last year - a convertible with an Intel Celeron processor - the release of the Alldocube iWork GT completely passed us by. We stumbled across the new model more by accident and of course we don't want to withhold this interesting device from you.
Some important information first. The Alldocube iWork GT is significantly more expensive than its indirect predecessor - the Chinese manufacturer charges at least 600 euros for the fusion of tablet and laptop. If you need more performance and more memory, you can even pay a four-digit amount for the convertible. Of course, this gives hope that the performance will be correspondingly strong. Whether this is the case, we will clarify together in this detailed announcement.
In terms of looks, the Alldocube iWork GT is a typical convertible. Basically, it is a tablet - in this case with Windows 11 as the operating system - which can be converted into a full-fledged notebook with the help of a keyboard. So you have the choice whether you want to use the touchscreen for input or whether you prefer to use real keys including a touchpad. The basic frame without the keyboard measures 259 x 163 x 10.6 millimeters and weighs just 610 grams. The only available color is medium gray. Excellent news for some purists: The Alldocube iWork GT offers a two-color notification LED!
Let's start directly with the processors that are available to choose from at the time of purchase. Two different variants are currently available, which are further subdivided into further versions with different memory sizes. The Intel Core i3-1115G4 from 2020 with two cores and four threads, supported by an Intel UHD graphics, is the entry point. The chip has a choice of 256 gigabytes, 512 gigabytes or one terabyte of memory. Eight gigabytes of RAM are always included. According to the manufacturer, the internal storage is PCI Express SSDs, while the main memory is based on the LPDDR4X architecture.
The integrated battery is surprisingly small at 3,900 mAh, but can be charged with 45 watts using the included power adapter (USB-C via Power Delivery). Alldocube withholds precise information about the runtime. However, 40 minutes of charging should pump a full 50 percent into the battery.
