12Alright, here's a new game for you all. As their website sums it up, Allegiance Online is "The greatest game you've never played." Pity right? This game is 9 years old, but certainly does not look like it at all. It won an award in 2007, and lives strong today with a friendly community willing to teach noobs. (Hey they even have a cadet program to get you off your feet.) It was developed by microsoft, and for some reason or another they dropped the game. I have no idea why, because these game is freaking intense. It blends RTS with FPS elements, and teamwork is paramount. You will almost never win if your team is just off doing their own thing. The physics are great, you feel like you're flying through space, and not an atmosphere. They say the learning curve is steep because of all the stuff you need to know, but for me, I got the basics within a matter of days. (The forum says normal players take 6-8 months? lol I must be asian right?) Anyhow, the ranking system is a first for me, instead of experience points... well, let me just say, play a damn lot. This game has been up for 9 years, and there are some players out there who have been with it since the start. Expect to get your ass whooped badly the first few times you take the controls.
