In 1992, Alone in the Dark became the forefather of the survival horror genre. Any memorable experience you've had in a Resident Evil or a Silent Hill game, is owed to the original Alone in the Dark.

So when they decided to reboot the franchise in 2008, they did so with the care and appreciation the series commanded... right?

Obviously not.
but I still remember Alone in the Dark 2008 fondly all these years later. I wonder why.
