You must be thinking this has to be Dark Citadel and not Altar of Pain right? No! On the alpha, these two maps are swapped places and names! There's a lot of differences on this one! On the alpha it seems like the hallway darts don't work here and there's no armor trap. I guess that room is only to get a shotgun now? The arachnotron room is now open to the courtyard instead of caged in, I like it being caged in as in the retail release. Instead of an elevator to get to the courtyard there is a staircase; which I actually prefer over the retail release. The massive spike puzzle is different now too. It's just a big drop down to get to that one. And if you get the invulnerability (in a new spot) you get ambushed by Pain Elementals, so if you have to choose either kill them or use it for the spike trap; either way you have a price to pay. I am glad that was changed. The library maze is a bit different too but still functions basically the same, which I like. Is it me or are there more imps in the final fire pit area? They are stuck here too like in the final release. So maybe they are intentionally stuck? I don't think it is a bug they forgot to fix since I think they did edit those imp positions.
