Alvo - Psvr2 Gameplay
0Alvo was recommended to me by a friend, he’s said it’s a PvP similar to Pavlov if not better.
Bold statement but it was enough to get me to buy it and see what all the hype was about…
Firstly, I’ll start with the negatives. Graphically it’s not amazing, it’s by no means bad and completely playable but there are better looking shooters out there. Secondly the reload is not manual and I am not a fan, I like my VR sessions to be realistic and close to the real thing as possible so proper loading and unloading in a VR game for me is a must. Thirdly and finally I found the gripping of the guns very tricky and a few times it cost me kills.. annoying…
Now the positives. This game is a tonne of fun.
It’s Frantic, fast paced and exciting. Everything you want a PvP shooter to be and then some. I have to give the lobby’s a shoutout because honestly the people on this game are some of the funniest and best bunch I’ve played online with. I was speaking to a few guys and they was absolutely hilarious and made a great game even better. Have to love it when it’s not a toxic online base. The zombie mode is also a lot of fun if not quite easy though but as a free extra it’s a nice touch.
Have to mention the price I got this game for was a steal, it was like £10.99 on the PSstore January sale so it’ll only be that price for another week or so, I’d advise picking it up now.
4**** A great game, a great shooter and I’m going to enjoy pumping some hours into it but it is not even close to Pavlov status in my mind, sorry.
