Alwa's Legacy - Secret Warp Point Puzzle & Kreese's Archives
A fascinating mystery I came across while playing Alwa's Legacy. I still haven't fully solved it, but perhaps you, the viewer, are the one chosen to bring light to this puzzle. Note that in the description, I may alternate what I call save points, possibly calling them "warp points" or simply "points". This is just me being lazy.
So I spent the past two days trying to figure out this mystery. In case you aren't sure what's happening in the video, I'll explain it. There's a specific sequence spanning all 45 warp points that will open a new room in the Grand Library if the sequence is performed exactly. When you hit the correct warp point in the sequence, a special little chime plays during the save sound, accompanied by a special green spark that briefly flits over the warp point's flame. The statue at Monk's Mire will have a blue flame on it if the sequence is still active.
I made a couple of mistakes by warping to incorrect points in this video (even the first warp is off by one). Since I don't spend much time on the warps in the video, I decided to upload the hastily put together sequence map: https://imgur.com/a/zzkJyUu
Though the sequence must be done in an exact order, warping does not trigger the save point. You must always separately save the game on each point to trigger it. If you warp to an incorrect save point, you can still salvage the situation by warping to the correct one WITHOUT hitting or choosing "Save Game" on the incorrect point. If you save on the wrong point, or the same point twice in a row, this will reset the sequence, forcing you to start in the ruined shack at Monk's Mire.
The puzzle inside Kreese's Archives is fairly straightforward. All you need to do is spell "ELDEN PIXELS" using the blocks, causing the painting to morph into this URL: https://eldenpixels.com/lydian/
The URL is currently where I'm stuck. I have no idea what the password could be.
So yeah, this took me a good while, spending about a total of 26 hours doing this. There was no trick to it, I just had to trial and error the sequence starting from the very first point. Around halfway, getting to the latest known point in the sequence took about 2-3 minutes each time. Near the very end it took over 5 minutes each time.
Update 2022-02-21: Added captions to specify which points you are between. Chapters mark the range from saving on the first listed point (save on 1, 11, etc.) to warping from the last listed point to the next (10 warp to 11, 20 to 21 etc.). I'm making it sound more confusing than it is.
