Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (N. Sane Trilogy) - High Time Relic Run (0:46:11)
That jump onto the very first carpet had hitching in the recording on several attempts, making me wonder if it was caused by level loading or something.
Just a random time attack run from that I saved the ShadowPlay recording of a little over a year ago (dated Oct 31, 2019). I figured since I've been uploading the Ninji Speedruns from Mario Maker 2 recently, I might as well just upload these for the fun of it.
Looked it up later and apparently the dev time for the original was 0:45:10, while the dev time for this one is 0:48:26. I can definitely see parts where I was sloppy in this run, but this is good enough for me.
Usually, I settle for Gold in this game since that's all you need for 106%. I never did C1 or C2 Relic runs in the remaster, because they weren't in the original and I feel the levels in those games aren't designed for time attacks.
I have only two Relic run videos, as they were the only ones I considered notable enough to save. This is the only level I actually put effort into improving the time beyond what was necessary for the Gold/Plat Relic. The other is the Future Tense DLC level, but I'll talk about that in its own description.
You might see me utilizing the super secret jutsu of spin-jumps. If you do a combination of slide, then jump and spin (almost) simultaneously, your jumps will get a good amount of extra height. Pretty sure this works both in the original versions of Crash 2 and 3 and their remasters.
When I checked the leaderboards for High Time after this, the top 5 list was populated by clear times of less than 20 hundredths of a second, with the top two finishing the level in 0:00:01.
