here, i reach the final area and final boss. the extended Queen Metroid fight caught me by surprise once i got past the original phase. i died a lot since i had forgotten how to fight this boss and the updated changes thew me off even more.
i'm a bit bummed that i didn't get 100% since i thought i had everything. i must have missed some very hidden stuff.

overall i quite enjoyed this game. it's nice to have a modernized version of Metroid 2 even if it isn't official.
