I used to have Metroid II on the Game Boy , but was unable to finish it because of the scare factor of the game's atmosphere as well as the nightmare-inducing appearance of the evolved gamma, zeta, and omega metroids.

This fanmade remake is a huge improvement over the original version, with additional features like SNES-style graphics, diagonal shooting, ledge grabbing, and the presence of the Charge Beam which never existed in the Game Boy. Although Nintendo took steps to take this game down you can still get the game through various file sharing websites.

This game is highly recommended to those who want to play a Metroid game but doesn't have a Nintendo console or handheld.
