This is the latest smartwatch that I'm going to test out, but this time it's going to be a little different because I'm slightly more into fitness these days. This would be an interesting product to try out. We have the all-new Amazfit's latest smartwatch, the Cheetah, which comes with some advanced features for runners and athletes. One interesting feature I noticed was that this watch comes with AI-generated training plans, and we will try that out too.
Let's first unbox the package and take a look at its contents.
Display: Talking about the display, this smartwatch comes with a 1.39-inch AMOLED display that looks quite bright in the sunlight and while you use it outdoors. Now that's important because when we are out on walks or runs, the display brightness is very important, and this smartwatch offers brightness up to 1000 nits. Additionally, the smartwatch comes with Panda-enhanced glass with an anti-fingerprint coating, ensuring that the screen remains clean and smudge-free while maintaining its crystal-clear visibility.
GPS: Called the Max Track, this smartwatch features a dual-band circularly polarised GPS antenna that gives you 99.5% accuracy, which is as accurate as a professional gold-standard GPS locator. Basically, if you are in the middle of skyscrapers or over the mountains, this GPS will track your movements.
Personalised AI-Powered Running Coach: The Cheetah comes with the AI-powered Zepp Coach. Users can now choose to generate targeted running plans aimed at training for a variety of race types. Personalised for each unique user's characteristics and ambitions for their upcoming race, the AI-generated running plan will adjust week-to-week based on the user's performance and condition, just like a personal trainer would continuously optimise a client's workout regimen.
Precise Route Navigation with Offline Maps: The Cheetah watch tracks your routes even when you have limited connectivity, and thanks to the offline maps feature, you can easily go on outdoor walks without worrying about getting lost.
Automatic GPS Mode: The Amazfit Cheetah watch also boasts automatic GPS mode. When enabled, this mode demonstrates its intelligence by dynamically adjusting the watch's GPS settings based on the actual satellite signal strength at your current location.
Export your Fitness Data: You can export your fitness data to multiple apps like Strava, which I personally use daily, along with Adidas Running, Google Fit, Apple Health, etc.
Download and Listen Music: You can download up to 470 songs onto the smartwatch and listen on the go. This clearly means you don't have to carry your smartphone to listen to music on your fitness walks or runs.
Sports Modes and Smart Recognition: This smartwatch comes with 150 sports modes, but what's important is that it automatically recognises certain activities like outdoor running, treadmill, walking, indoor walking, outdoor cycling, pool swimming, rowing machines, and elliptical workouts and tracks this information.
Weighing 47 grammes, this smartwatch comes with around 14 days of battery life, while with heavy usage it hits 7 days of battery life. Overall, with all the amazing features, I feel it's a good fitness-specific smartwatch that you can definitely consider.
