Last time, the party was gearing up to face the current champions of the Frost Giant Arena. As expected, it consisted of their friends Mi'itrik and Dart, but was also curiously consisted of the frost giant Felbryn, who turned out to be another of the Jarl's son's locked up as a traitor. The other was Castar, an arrogant armor-clad man with a vendetta against Ren, who seemingly now shows magical powers outside of what was expected due to their last encounter.

With the battle starting out seriously enough, Bell reveled in the idea of putting on a fun show. Looking for any reason to show Bell up specifically, even if it meant essentially throwing the match, Mi'itrik joined Bell in a dance-off on top of a sturdy mound of snow while the rest of both parties duked it out in the arena.

Needless to say, things became very one-sided very quickly as Felbryn was knocked out early on and Dart was gradually subdued. Castar surprisingly continued the fight for the team for as long as he could hold out, which wasn't very long at all, and with Ren dealing the last, embarassing blow to Castar once again, the party emerged victorious.

Able to speak privately with the Jarl, who revealed that he could understand and speak Common the entire time, the party learns that the Frost giants are indeed under the control of the Archbishop, who defeated the Jarl in singular combat to place himself at the top of the Frost Giant pecking order. Bound by honor and Duty, the Jarl had to do what was ordered by the Archbishop.

Upon learning the possibility of being duped by the Archbishop's power as well as a desire for revenge to reclaim his honor, the Jarl agrees to assist the party so long as they assured the safety and well-being of the frost giant people. With an idea to hire Reginald to create and sell the frost giants the opposite of a Thermal Cube, one that would allow the giants to feel freezing temperatures no matter where they stand, the Jarl no longer had any doubt or reservation against the party's plan to take down the remaining frost barriers and the archbishop himself.

Understanding the error of his judgement as well as seeing better potential for his clan, the Jarl releases Mi'itrik and her party as well as Felbryn to act as ambassadors to the Resistance to form an alliance to strike against the Archbishop.

However, based on the knowledge of the Jarl, the party learns that there is in fact a 5th barrier residing within the heart of the city of Wintervale, watched by the Archbishop himself, protecting him from danger until it is weakened by the destruction of the remaining barriers.

Not only that, but the Jarl was asked about any history of a White Dragon in the area, which he indeed confirmed the existance of one long ago, until it up and disappeared one day. It's lair was a small island north of wintervale, but strangely enough it is near an active volcano, which a White Dragon would have avoided at all costs.

With many questions answered, more have risen, but it won't be long before the clash against the Archbishop. Will the party successfully bridge the rivalry between the resistance and the frost giants? And will their plans be successful in effectively exposing the archbishop and taking him down? That is where we begin today.
