Home of the Frost Giants - The Wintervale Saga - Episode 38
10Staring down a dimly lit hallway after fighting through waves of Umbra Clan guards, the party finally made their way to the opened Gate, where the Crusher, right hand man of the Mutilator, was waiting for them. Proving he was more intelligent than he looked, he brought out his own hand-picked mercenaries outside of the Umbra Clan to assist him in battle.
After a few quips being thrown around, the Crusher revealed his true name: Rhagradd Grimms, now possibly being linked to Johnathan Grimms of the Abyssal Pirates.
The fight proved to be more dangerous than either side expected, though with our party coming out on top, Crusher was forced to flee through the opened gate, asking Orcus for assistance. However, despite his pleas, nothing happened, and the party heard Orcus' voice for the first time through the gate, merely laughing as if this was all just entertainment for him.
Anoran quickly sealed the gate before anything worse happened, ending the fight and the collection of spirits in Wintervale's west side, finally fulfilling their original job of closing the gates on the island.
Still, there was much and more still happening around them. Most immediate was Mi'itrik's circumstances, being held captive by the Frost Giants to the north. However, she claims to be in no real immediate danger and is actually being treated very well due to her and Dart surviving and even winning matches in the Frost Giant arena, earning their respect as warriors. But the question remains if they're still technically prisoners despite their newfound status, and the party seeks to find out for themselves.
But first, their supplies and money are running low. Intent on giving Cyrus a much-needed break from adventuring, they choose to meet up with the pirates and prepare for their next adventure.
