AMD Radeon Vega 6 vs Vega 7 - Is this why Ryzen 3 5300G is not available?
21Yes, that is the question. As I compared the AMD Radeon Vega 6 vs Vega 7 I came to realize how close the 2 offerings were, first sighted on the AMD Ryzen 3 Pro 4350G and AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G. Vega 8 was the one on 3200G while Vega 11 on 3400G.

*NOTE : At 0:56 I meant Vega 6 has 86% of the cores of the Vega 7. My apologies for expressing it incorrectly.
The AMD Ryzen Pro 4000 series were for OEM / SI so I thought the 5000 series would cater to the consumer market but apparently it's only the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G and AMD Ryzen 7 5700G while the AMD Ryzen 5 5300G is for OEM.
Not surpring I suppose, going by the results I have here I believe that if AMD Ryzen 3 5300G is to be in the market then there's less reason to look at the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G and higher unless you're also in need of the processor power as the 5600G is really good for multi-core workloads.
So what do you think? Do you think the Vega 6 on the AMD Ryzen 3 5300G is the reason why it is kept away from consumer market in order to protect the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G? Clearly when having the Vega 6 vs the Vega 7, the performance is very close and should be well worth the price if it's reasonable.
