Amerzone triggers the beginning of Sokal's world that was magnified by the Syberia series. It has a different gameplay style, harnessing the Myst-like movement structure. This gameplay is obviously the remake, rather than the original (which is why it looks so much better), and I like that they animated the walking, rather than warping from spot to spot.
I also like the "investigations" inside the level, giving you the opportunity to uncover more depth in the plot through exploration before venturing onto the next screen. Gameplay wise, it's a departure from what I've grown accustomed to in the Syberia series, but I do enjoy how Amerzone is constructed. Plus, it brings us to South America, rather than Eastern Europe, so a change of pace is nice!
