Fallen Aces is an old-fashioned kind of FPS, although with some more contemporary cues. We're definitely not as frenetic as Quake here, but the aesthetic definitely harkens back to that day.
The combat is solid enough, although arguably I want to be able to fight with basically anything around me. The exploration can also be a bit confusing; I would understand if someone breezed through a level in 5 minutes, or took 2 hours exploring every nook and cranny to discover random notes and fights.
Makes for good replayability, I suppose.
