In my opinion, the best shooter on the Amiga. Perfect use of the colors and stuff.

This is the 4 disk version played through WHDLoad, which means the sound errors and other stuff has been fixed. There is also other versions like a 3 disk one, it was released as a budget version, well, read this:

"This game is a slightly enhanced version of PROJECT X, which Team 17 released at a budget price. Release of this enhanced version was mostly prompted by customer feedback that the difficulty level of the original (particularly level 2) was too high. Enhancements include:

- Inclusion of a rookie mode allowing players making easier to progress to later levels
- Beginning the game with a better ship
- Shortened levels
- Removal of some extremely difficult passages of play from game levels
- Reducing the amount of disk swapping by fitting the game on 3 disks instead of the original's 4 disks"

So, I recorded the best possible one with everything included, even hardest difficulty etc.

I kept most of the intro music (waited a while before hitting "START GAME") also kept most of the outro music.

I didn't lose a single life, as I didn't wanna repower my weapons (dunno how many powerups that would be lost, but usually you do lose some in games when you die), so it's lame the message at the end says "Now do it without losing a life !"... I DID, DAMMIT!

After the ending credits, I didn't get to enter my name in the highscore table (not even if I killed myself at the last boss), so I added that part by starting a new game, killing something and then killing myself, so got like no score, hence the low rank.

If you fail to bomb stuff at the end, you get a different ending, which I added at the very end of the movie.

There are some additional circle/disc items on the 3rd bonus level that cannot be picked up.

The bonus levels have the bottom part of the background garbled (should probably be an inverted reflection of the top part), I replayed the game to maybe have this fixed, but it was still present.

There's a rumor that you get to play a version of Space Invaders if you fly into the 'mouth' of the ending boss of the first level (http://hol.abime.net/1164/cheatcode). I tried this and it didnt work. People over at EAB discussed this once and some/most of them think it's a hoax (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=28815). A Google search resulted in this, someone mentioning the Space Invader game secret, but for the PC version: http://www.dream17.info/softography.php?id=6&s=xtra . So maybe it's only for the PC? If no one has ever gotten it to work for the Amiga, and there's no picture proof, why keep 'secret' on HoL? Maybe it only works for one of the 3 (or so) version of Project-X for the Amiga? I only tried it with one version, but those at HoL maybe tried others, still, this cheat is mentioned for the version I recorded, not the 3 disk one. -
