Amnesia: The Bunker vs Verdun: Western Front - Weapon Comparison
Two WW1 games where in Verdun you play as soldiers around the world testing out their experimental weapons into no man's land and The Bunker being about a survival horror shooter as a Frenchman trying to GTFO in the basement.
Guys, calm down. Just because both games are different in genres like they are WW1 games. I can see the similaries between those two. Since then, I gladly would love to made the weapon comparison video outta them.
Before I get to discussing the comparison, The Bunker is oddly a dark game compared to Verdun. So if you have eye problem, do keep the brightness in check. Also in the crater level, when shooting you don't get deaf compared to bunker level for some reason which probably because the bunker is probably cursed compared to being outside which that's a nice detail.
Now for weapon animations, there's a clear difference on the light and day. Despite Frictional Games and Blackmill Games are both indie studios, the budget for Verdun is pretty not that stylish compared to The Bunker. Well it would make sense that an average WW1 soldiers were some dirty farmer peasants that got conscripted into this pointless war where Henri seems to act like a hide-and-seek terminator type of guy. Also the sounds are louder in The Bunker than Verdun being it's more set in a tight space bunker than no man's land. But unless Henri finally gets a fresh air, that won't be the case, anymore.
Overall both games are good in their own ways. If you want to a non-horror experience on battling the trenches, try Verdun. If wanting to try something different on close spaced horror experience, give Amnesia The Bunker a go. Now for pricing, Amnesia is significantly a bit expensive than Verdun, but not too expensive as the Italian Front game. Nevertheless, these games offer good amount the content. Verdun has a lot of cool weapons to play with, the factions, game modes, an authentic trench warfare, and online is very active. Amnesia is somehow replayable being it's quite open world freedom on the bunker and supports modding.
Finally while the recorded clips are mostly Verdun, Tannenberg and Isonzo games are included because I believe they're the same according to my poll. I mean, three fronts for each price? Well it depends if you want to be a practical gamer or history nerd for sake of your wallet.
