This is the efforts of really going tryhard mode on the game - starting with, like, a 2h30m run a few days ago that was me just winging this, then writing notes, pathing, dialing it in, practicing - until we see this here. Amped 2 is actually an interesting game to run, because as you get further in the game and levels get harder, the challenges start giving more rank to you more often. So do you do some easy challenges on an early level for your rank, or do you risk going for tougher challenges that could be more payoff towards getting to Rank 8 (when the final event to get Rank 1 opens up)?
Amped 2 is finicky, and no challenge is safe from you having to try it a few times to beat it - especially if you're trying to do it fast. As you guys saw if you watched my Lets Play, any challenge can mess you up for way too long, and this happened several times across even this run. However, there are other challenges that were banes of my existence long ago that I've figured out how to do smoothly now - Photoshoot 3 and Pro 2 on Millicent come to mind. I did do some dumb things though like trick so little I didn't clear ANY high score on my first New Zealand run, wasting a good minute or so there. This is nowhere near perfect. Sub-2 hours taunts me but I'll have to see if I want to try this again.
I want to thank ktwo for his Amped 2 segmented 100% run on speeddemosarchive, and everyone who's supported me revisiting this game recently. Maybe ktwo will see this run and go "bah, what a noob!" and try something himself. That guy seriously crushes this game in his segmented run. Hopefully all my efforts will either inspire people to upload their own gameplay and efforts, or at least teach them that this game exists and is definitely worth picking up. Just know that it has some real challenging parts your first time through.
