The same train from the earlier video on the return trip. 90278 is noted for not being an official part of the Amtrak California NPCU Pool, but rather, a “wanderer” that seems to jump between pools. I remember only a year ago that this very unit was in the Southern California Pool, but after they discontinued the use of Single Level Consists down there, they transferred it up here. Another thing I really love about 90278 is that it’s one of the only NPCUs with an E-Bell, the only other one as of now being 90413, the sole Ex-GO Transit NPCU, which is part of the Midwest Pool, and has been out of service for a good while.
