January 31, 1989 - Rick Mahorn vs. Doug Collins may very well be the greatest player/coach altercation rivalry in NBA history. A year and two weeks after Mahorn twice tossed Collins to the floor like a rag doll during a 1988 melee, Collins returned for more midway through his team's 104-98 overtime loss, this time with decidedly less fireworks.

On a semi-interesting sidenote, Mahorn ended up playing under Collins in the mid-'90s, when Collins signed on to coach the Pistons.
