An Approach to Tiberian Sun Remastered | NOD #15 - Capture Jake McNeil [HARD]

How would C&C Tiberian Sun Remastered look like if EA decided to take the plunge? On this video series we will make an approach and, althought we can't remaster the whole game as only Petroglyph could do, nowadays it's possible to show how would it feel if we created AI upscaled cinematics, CGI Ingame Radar Screen Movies, a good gameplay, and put it all together in the same video. And that's what these video series are about.
The Cutscenes you are watching on these videos have been upscaled and processed with AI software for a better viewers experience, taking as source directly the .vqa files compressed in the .mix files from real original CD's. These .vqa's were too compressed and the resolution/fps was too low, only 640x400 15fps with 8:5 aspect ratio, so they would look too blurry in nowadays displays. I upscaled them to a more proper Reso/FPS and stretched them to make them fit in the 16:9 format. Scenes with human faces have been carefuly cropped and reframed, one by one to make them fit in the 16:9 aspect ratio without making the characters look too flattened like when you convert 4:3 to 16:9 by just stretching. Also some scenes showing horizontal lines in fast movements, probably caused by an interlace issue, have been corrected and now they look smoother. I highly advice to turn on the 4k on your YT player if you are watching on a big screen. The cinematics are not really 4k, due to the poor quality of the source files it was pointless, so I decided to make a very good 1080p, as good as I could, but, turning on the 4k will help to reduce blockiness artifacts generated by Youtube compression ruining the job. I wish there was a higher quality source for these cutscenes. I hope you like it and tell me your thoughts in the comments.
C&C: Tiberian Sun is a Real Time Strategy PC game that was released in August 26, 1999 exclusively for Windows systems, and it's the natural sequel of Command & Conquer (1995) also known as C&C: Tiberian Dawn.
Westwood Studios was the original developer and EA published and distributed the game.
The game follows the same storyline as it's prequel whose events took place in the 1990's, but taking us to the early 2030's and inmersing us into a very futuristic enviroment.
This game also introduced very well known Hollywood actors such as Michael Biehn and James Earl Jones. The music continued being produced by the hand of the great Frank Klepacki who, with no doubts, knew how to adapt his music to the futuristic athmosphere of the game.
The game offers two playable factions, The GDI (Global Defense Initiative) and the NOD (New Order of Diplomacy) Brotherhood, each one with their special abilities and weaknesses.
On February 12, 2010, Tiberian Sun was released for free by EA alongside the Firestorm expansion.
