(Although, the resulting increase in quality of the reupload ends up making those annotations pointless altogether! :P)

This is a Yoshi's Island: SMW2 level that I created in which you don't have to touch the controls at all.

Yes, this is not Super Mario World, but its sequel (err... prequel, whatever). So, I've decided to make a Yoshi's Island level for the SMW Central contest, and this is it. I hope you enjoy it!

(It's a "version 2" because after uploading the first version of the level to SMW Central, I decided to add pipes to later parts of the level that link to the beginning area to make backtracking easier for those players that want to. Otherwise, going backwards through those thorns would likely be an extreme pain. Also, all screen exits are two-way, so backtracking is always possible, even after reaching the very end of the level.)

I've test run this level several times, and I want to say that this level has a 100% chance of success, as it has worked every time for me... at least on the initial visit. For some reason, if the level is replayed after being cleared, there's a good chance that the baseball boys near the beginning won't aim their eggs quite right, and Yoshi will just end up stranded on a vertically moving red platform and won't go anywhere unless the player takes control. Don't know why that happens, but as long as it always works the first time, I guess it's okay.

Note: The reason for that arbitrary-seeming yellow platform at the end of the third area is because during the initial creation of that area, Yoshi just barely cleared the thorns to the right of it after being bumped off of a red platform, and was only slightly to the left of them, so then I took some time getting all the baseball boys and other things around there going just right based on Yoshi's exact landing position. However, a later test run had Yoshi flying past the thorns with much more speed than usual. He still didn't hit any of them, but his new position screwed up all the egg aiming from the baseball boys, and I couldn't figure out what caused the changed landing or how to get Yoshi to land back at that original position on his own. I didn't want to redo that whole section just because of Yoshi's new movement behavior, so I did some finagling, and found that by putting that yellow platform and those guide lines there like that, I could get Yoshi back to the correct spot (or at least close enough that the baseball boys now worked as intended).

Also, in the final area, you should briefly see a message box on the left shortly before Yoshi lands on Poochy. I'm not showing it here, so if you want to see exactly what it says, play the level yourself and take control of Yoshi at that point. It's probably easiest to reach by jumping right from where Yoshi picks up the flashing egg. (It's basically a thank you note with a few credits.)

Speaking of the flashing egg, I wasn't originally aware that any flashing eggs Yoshi is carrying are automatically converted into red coins upon hitting the goal. I only just learned that by chance as I neared the end of this level's creation.

One more thing: The number of stars Yoshi gets during the level can vary by quite a bit due to their random movement. For instance, at about the 2:00 mark, I've seen the star count be as low as 21 and as high as 28 amongst my test runs. However, I have provided enough extra stars after that point so that Yoshi should (hopefully) always be at 30 by the end. (If anybody else playing the level "automatically" finds that Yoshi has fallen short of the 30 star mark at the goal, let me know.)

Feel free to comment, but just know that I dislike profanity. Any comments containing F-bombs and/or S-bombs will be tap-tapped out! (In other words, they'll be deleted.)
