An Entirely New Game... (OMORI Part 1 Hikikomori)

SPOILER WARNING: This is a video exploring the second route of the game, so we will be skipping over a large amount of details that are crucial to the understanding of the game. In order to get the full context for the series, and to gain a better understanding of the game and my playstyle in general, I highly recommend that you go back and watch my first playthrough of the game.

Welcome back to OMORI!
I wasn't expecting to be back at this game again, but here we are. After being so crushed by the first ending of the game, I came to the shocking realization that there was a second route and about 7 different endings in total! So in order to get the most for myself out of this game, I decided to play it all over again. Yay...
Welcome to the first episode of the second playthrough of Omori, in which we explore the alternate route of the game, dubbed the "Hikikomori Route," in which we decide not to answer the door when Kel comes a-knocking. This first episode is a bit of a slow start, lots of expositional dialogue to recap the first route and open up the second route, but I promise it gets a lot more interesting later on.
In this episode, we close the door on Kel and the events that occur in Faraway Town and journey with us to a "faraway town" (see what I did there lol) in our own minds. Watch as we confront our various fears and progress through the game in order to uncover all the new route's hidden secrets. What sort of things will we find? What kinds of discussions will we have? What the heck exactly is a Hikikomori? Watch this video to find out...
WARNING: This game deals with sensitive subjects such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicide. There are also some sections later on in the game that have bright flashing lights, so please be mindful of that is you have epilepsy or some other type of photosensitivity.
Because this is a potentially triggering game, I will be providing information to the National Suicide Prevention Helpline down below. Please use this recourses if you are ever feeling overwhelmed/uncomfortable. Know that you have the option to talk with me too, if you so choose. I am not a licensed counselor/therapist/psychiatrist, but I have plenty of first-hand experience with depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicide, so if you need to talk to someone, I am here to listen.

Starting in July of 2022, the Suicide Prevention Hotline will be 988. The old number will still be active, but due to the recent mental health crisis, these are the changes that are being implemented.
I will also be putting my email if you would prefer to speak with me directly. I ask that you do not use the comments to share your problems/concerns, so that we can maintain discretion and confidentiality in our talks.

Here is a link to my OMORI playlist. This includes my first playthrough, (I know the videos are long, I apologize) as well as several funny little montages intended for you to have a good laugh.

I also recommend checking out "Counselor Plays" and "The Dapper Saint." They have played both routes of the game and go into more detail about the psychological aspects of the game, while also having much more digestible material hehe. Links to their channels will be provided below:

I hope to see y'all back in a few weeks for the next episode of the Hikikomori Route. Until then, take care, have fun, and be safe. Let's have some fun together!
