In this Skul the Hero Slayer video, I'll be using Hunter with the newly buffed Explosive Arrow! Hunter has long been one of my favorite characters in the entire game, and despite how people overall see him now was once very disliked by the Skul community. Thankfully people have come around on him, and it's easy to see why. 3 of his 4 skills range from excellent to good, and only Siege Shot is rough which means you've got good odds to get a easy to use Hunter, especially so since you can take him from the start of a run. His swap is among the best, and a contender for the best. His built in crit focused mechanics are good, and his concentration, while still concentration, is the fastest concentration of the main 3. This episode isn't just about Hunter though, but Explosive Arrow as well! This item was before 1.9 considered to be one of the worst items in Skul due to it's massive 2 second cooldown between the explosions it creates, but thankfully the devs changed that to a 0.3 second cooldown, and that's FAR more reasonable and manageable. Explosive Arrow's inscriptions have been solid, so that pesky cooldown was the only thing holding it back from being quite usable, and now we finally get to test it with Hunter, a character I don't even consider a particularly good user of it, to see it's power. Not ONLY that, but we bring it's sister item along as well, Gunpowder Sword, to see these two items create constant explosions on our foes! Also, we will be doing a mixed damage focused run, with Dash Items as our main damage engine. Joined by Rockstar, can this unlikely duo show just how ridiculous mixed damage can be?
