In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, we'll be trying out the Hercules skull! Hercules is a skull added in the Myths DLC pack that, even among a batch of powerful additions to the game, stands out as extra powerful. Hercules' mechanics center around his skills that can gain stacks of uses, and the i-frames he can generate. He plays quite similarly to Genie in a lot of ways, but extra. Where Genie has his i-frame generation balanced around having a cut to his damage output, Hercules has even more i-frame generation and doesn't suffer that cut in damage; Hercules hits like a truck. He's especially powerful with the archetype I like to call Ability Spam Items, where you get items that activate when you use a skull's abilities. With the addition of the Hercules skull, one item in particular that released alongside him raised the ceiling for how absurdly powerful this archetype can become, and that item is Olive Tree Cudgel. This is an item that does many things, such as increase your max HP and damage amplification, but most relevant to us today is it's effect that casts an earthquake that deals damage whenever an ability is cast, thus putting it into the Ability Spam Item archetype. This item of Hercules turns him into an unstoppable killing machine, and lucky for me, I get it. Not only that, but also the long reigning Manatech Gravity Generator, another powerful Ability Spam Item joins me on this run, and together these items absolutely destroy everything. That's the goal for today's run, absolute destruction! Joined by Shield, can these two smash and bash their way to total victory?
