In this Skul the Hero Slayer video, I'll be using Ninja with a Poisoning centered strategy! Ninja is easily my favorite character in the entire game due to his unique movement mechanics, as well as his one of a kind ability system. Ninja's in-air basic attack works like no other, sending him flying through the air in whichever direction you're holding. This allows Ninja to zoom through a map faster than anyone else, which allows him to make quick escapes and reach areas in ways other skulls can't. Also, his abilities change depending when he's on the ground vs. when he's in the air, which gives him access to four total abilities at all times, with many powerful multi-stacking skills as well. This naturally lends him extremely well to Ability Spam Items, one of my personal favorite archetypes as well as one of the strongest. However, today we aren't focused on that, but rather a Poisoning archetype! Poison is the most consistent offensive status when compared to Arson and Excessive Bleeding, and this is due to, for one, how easy it is to apply when using the right items, but also the way it scales. Poison is, much like the other statuses, focused on your raw damage%, but with Poison pretty much all you need is raw damage% to make it powerful and functional. Poison is only further enhanced by the Dark Ability Weakness Exposure, which procs whenever you attack the enemy three times, and since Poison has a constant and consistent tick rate damaging the enemy your Weakness Exposure is also constantly proccing. The thing with Poison is with the item slots you're dedicating to the Poisoning inscription, you need to make up for those slots with good damage scaling items/inscriptions to make sure your Poison ticks are doing the deed, which isn't really hard thanks to the Dark Mirror's inscription pedestals. All in all, Poison is very consistent, easy to build, and powerful, and I hope to show that here.
