YouTube's automatic thumbnail generator appears to love bright colors and faces, so it usually selects frames with Murray, or if that's impossible, a close-up of Sly. I wanted to see what would happen if I uploaded a video that was completely devoid of color or characters, so I set PCSX2's saturation value to its lowest, and edited memory so that all characters are transparent and disabled the health bar, leaving pretty much nothing but grayscale level geometry. I even cut out all Binocucom cutscenes, just to be sure.
The result?
A selection of three seemingly random scenes, not prioritizing brightness or complexity, but they do have depth and shape:
