An intro to Music and Sound on the Tandy Color Computer - Part 1
Music and sound were an important part of the overall all gaming experience in the 8-bit 80's and depending on the system you had, the level in which this was achieved varied.
The Tandy Color Computer had no built in hardware to help with music generation, everything need to be done by the processor, so "background" music and sounds were only possible by very clever programmers who could splice time and space in assembly language.
We'll hear some samples of what music and sound was like on the CoCo, from the Sound and Play commands in BASIC all the way up to the Speech and Sound Pack.
Special guests L. Curtis Boyle and Nick Marentes join us on this audible journey.
