As young kids, we probably were gifted a model plane at some point. Either a bigger plastic one mounted on a stand, or a smaller metal one. Today I want to introduce you to the main scales these planes are made in, and the hobby of actually collecting detailed scale replicas of commercial airliners. This is not a video about RC planes that can fly, as those are a completely different subject matter and beyond my expertise.
Starting from the tiny 1/1000 scale that can fit as a toy inside a kinder egg to the grand 1/200 scale which can only be placed on shelves, and even larger 1/72 scale that however are usually the domain of much smaller fighter jets, let's see what the world of aviation has to offer.
