The Oracle Games were one of the Zelda series' strangest experiments. Not enough was it for Nintendo to sign away one of its most beloved franchises to a third-party studio, they also decided to experiment with a never-again seen linking feature, which essentially turned two separate Zelda games into one larger adventure. Despite its bold origin, however, the Oracle Duology has mostly failed to leave any sort of lasting legacy on the Zelda series as a whole. Do these games deserve to be so forgotten? Or is there perhaps more to them than first meets the eye? Today, I seek to answer that question.
