Original Text: Since cloning a #SupermanAnalogue is often difficult, another way is reanimate a corpse of one and stuff it full of technology to control it, such as was the case with the Reanimen from Invincible.
The Reanimen started off as recurring bad guys in the early days of the book. These ones were built from the bodies of missing living and dead students from Invincible's college. They were surprisingly capable physical threats, but nothing Invincible couldn't handle.
They were all created by a student at the college, D.A. Sinclair. Eventually, he was caught, but his project was then taken over by the government and he was tasked with refining the process to create soldiers to protect Earth.
The culmination of this was when Earth was invaded by versions of Invincible from myriad realities. The many that died we're repurposed as Reanimen and used for extremely high stakes battles to protect Earth. Invincible really didn't care for this...
The Reanimen are not a "big" part of the series, but they highlight the wonderful part of the book and @RobertKirkman 's writing: continuity driven escalation. It really considers what the broader implications of each fantastical element are and how they interact with each other.
