So I've been discussing with Vexser about buying a secondary off of him in order to finally build a Tesla Coil, since my major problem is that I fail at winding secondaries. I'm going to get all new parts and all, so that I can start from scratch again. So after he polys his secondary, I'm going to buy it off of him and I will build a SSTC. I'm going to use a new transformer and all, since 7.5kV 30mA is measly. So I took some of my old TC stuff into my room to remind me of HV, and rebuilt my Jacob's Ladder. This I put in my room, and after well over two years of not doing high voltage, I'm back at it. Well, I can't say that. I did attempt to wind my secondary after I moved, but I didn't actually play with any arcs until today, which reminded me of how much I love high voltage. Of course I can't run the Jacob's Ladder for too long, since else I'd get ozone poisoning, but this serves a double purpose. Not only will I have some arcs whenever I want them, but the small amount of ozone I do allow in my room will purify the air. Well, not so much purify as to make it *smell* better xD Tiny amounts of ozone now and then should be alright ehehe. Technically ozone's pretty toxic. But eh. Not like I'mma be running this thing 24/7. Ozone can eliminate *some* odor in my room without building to unhealthy levels. xD Anything's better than keeping my windows open and letting the bugs in. And when the bugs do come in, screw the racket bug zapper. This is much more satisfying :D
