The Lumina Shrine beckons and Mortimer's there readying up his grand plan to save Andaron. Before that though, Mortimer drops a truth bomb about himself. Turns out he has the power to make his hair color an illusion. His typical brown hair turns into the same color as that of a Lightbringer....oh, and that brown hair was the illusion.

There's been several subtle hints at this revelation throughout the game. For example, House Steel all has fire affinity people like Isabelle, Galahad, and Baudimon. Mortimer had light affinity...and he could wield one of the Lightbringer regalias in Starfall.

As for his whole plan? Turns out a vision he had back when his mother was still alive revealed that demons would ravage Andaron, hence why his actions have seemed so...peculiar up to this point with him visiting this shrine so often.

The big question though should be obvious...why kill Baudimon? All due to a simple case of Aylanda & Baudimon having a bigger claim to the throne after ascending...and probably some crazy desire to bring the Lightbringer name back into the spotlight.

Know who's really not giving a damn? Aylanda who comes walking up and mentions something I believe Jakka mentioned awhile ago...Baud was never truly interested in the throne and would have gladly given it up if Mortimer asked. Hell, even if Baudimon had taken the throne, Mortimer's wisdom could have been welcomed to help rule justly over Andaron.

Instead, Mortimer wanted to be the hero of his own story at any cost...and still does. Aylanda decides that if she's going to pass away eventually (since that soul link with Helga to preserve her life is failing), she's going to summon the power needed to defeat Mortimer.

So...I may have implied that Isabelle was getting a Ultimate Armor X level upgrade...and that may be true here (This is still the timeline where Galahad was killed off for the record), but in reality, Aylanda's the one that really gets it. She gets a 3rd tier promotion, Saint, which brings massive stat bonuses (+9 hp, +3 str, +9 mag, +9 skl, +3 spd, +8 def, +9 res), learning Nihil, and her Lightbringer skill getting a massive upgrade to the Last Light skill, healing anyone in a 4 tile range of her for 40% of his or her max hp at the start of a turn. Considering my Aylanda was lv20 before promoting...yeah, she's KINDA busted, even having overcapped res.

Mortimer finally decides to pull the trigger on his plan...pull a Death from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, steal ALL the regalias, then summon the ancestors of said regalias for the army to fight.

What follows is you deciding who your elite 18 will be for this final battle and that their equipment loadouts are optimized. The only ones forced for this are Jakka and Aylanda. The rest of the choices are up to you. This will be a very tough and long finale chapter so hold nothing back in what you decide to bring.

Everyone you field gets a final battle quote. We'll be seeing Galahad & Aylanda's in the next video, but there is a special event that happens if you field Dawn. All that regalia stealing doesn't apply to her and she does a fusion dance on her Daybreak tome & Dawncaller, bringing forth the true form of the latter, Dawnbreaker.

Take everything that was good about Dawncaller, add 5 mt, 10 hit, 10 crt, 10 mag, and 10 skl. Now take out Renewal and put in Flare (Skl% chance to halve the enemy's res). Pretty damn good. One thing though...Dawnbreaker is a typical 40 use regalia and not infinite like Dawncaller. Luckily Isabelle can still use it though!

Next time...well, I need to do some work on my bad ending savefile cause there's a few things I want to show off before we kick this finale into high gear.
