Isabelle & Emilia still trouncing on the commander squads down south, but Isabelle will be getting warped inside soon. One of the enemy units from the southern commander squad has an Armorslayer which can do quite the number on her, potentially enough that the rest can kill her if she doesn't dodge enough.

Emilia? Naw she can laugh and tank them ALL day thanks to Dirge. She too will be warped inside, but only when I'm ready to pull in Cassandra. Doing so though requires talking about Cyrus first.

Recruiting Cyrus is this chapter's secret lunatic objective. Doing this requires you to not kill him or any of his Flame Knight cohorts. Luckily, they're all Generals and the only ones on this map so it's easy to spot them. There's just the matter of how you get them out of your way.

Ideally, you'd want to use someone that can't counter in any way. Taking weapons away could be one such route, but Darius has another out in the form of Ahmed. You can use him to get the Flame Knights out of your way and even use him as one of your units standing on one of the two switches to open the palace if you so choose.

As for the Flame Knights in the east...John is so bulky that I can take his weapon, give him some Elixirs & Concoctions, and let him lure them out of the way of your other guys.

Cyrus though? Much more annoying. He's got 1 range weapons so you're going to counter him most likely. He's quite bulky though so unless you have something on that specifically counters armored units hard, he can survive a round of combat easily.

The real annoying thing though? When Cyrus initiates combat or you do the same to him, Cassandra decides to hell with sitting on her ass, she's going to start moving. Not only that, but all the Flame Knights now become aggro. You're likely going to have to swap character inventories to make a wall so there's no counterkilling of the Flame Knights.

As for Cassandra...she's a very dangerous boss. Do NOT engage her without some form of crit protection. Swordmaster innate crit boost + insane skill + Hellblazer regalia means her crit rate is insane. Couple that with her speed also being so high she can double a large chunk of your army most like and you have a recipe for someone dying very easily if she crits.

If that wasn't bad enough, she has two nasty skills. One comes from her Hellblazer, Pavise, which has a chance to nullify physical damage. The other is her personal skill Astra. Skill% chance to perform 5 attacks for half damage. Not many people can withstand 5 hits, even at half damage. Hellblazer is just that strong.

Ideally, you'll lure Cassandra to the side where you have the most units at, then dogpile her with your sturdiest units first and foremost. Due to her high avoid as well, if you have a Swordreaver or, better yet, the Swordslayer from the ch21 secret event, you'll have good odds of landing your strike and doing high damage if Pavise doesn't trigger.

Isabelle nails the killing blow after a solid hit from Aisha, netting an always useful Eternal Seal for the war chest. Cassandra does retreat, but it doesn't take long for Alvaro to pull the ye old turncoat dance and finish her off for good.

As for Cyrus, with his entire Flame Knight squad all safe & sound, he joins up with Jakka's army.

Cyrus may not be the guy you'll turn to for securing kills, but he is the guy that can tank very nicely with his 70 hp, 28 def, and 16 res. Wary Fighter also ensures he's not getting doubled unless it's due to a brave weapon or someone with the Nihil skill. Low luck & a matching low growth there though means he'd appreciate a Holy Symbol to prevent crits.

Growth wise, mag/spd/luck are his bad ones, all of which he doesn't need. The rest are at 45% or higher so very good on that front.

Also, fun fact...if he could get his hands on Hellblazer, he can use that. Couple that with the fact he gets the magical counterpart to Pavise known as Aegis if he gets an A support with John means he can potentially be a very annoying unit for the enemy to take down.
