Time for a bit of a tricky chapter.

The objective is obvious...take down Cassandra. Your squad's split up into three teams. The bulk of it is down south outside the palace while two teams of three are inside. One in the west, the other in the east.

For the southern squad, there are tons of promoted units. Matter of fact, every enemy on this map is promoted which means a sizable uptick in damage and durability across the board. Caution is definitely advised from here on out as reckless moves can very easily result in someone going down....like how it'll apply to the green army horde!

While Tendaris's trusty Drakeguard can take some hits, the Styxia army leaves much to be desired. All the Halberdiers barely do any damage and die very quickly. They do make good magnets for the enemy to engage on, giving your southern army of choice the chance to clean them up with less hassle.

Also in the Styxia army are a bunch of Druids. While they too die rather easily, they at least have a decent chance to hit, do ok damage, and can heal other units up. The longer you can keep them alive, the less stress it'll be for you to patch up wounded units.

There is a big problem though...after several turns pass, giant FE4 styled clumps of enemy reinforcements begin to appear. First group comes from the west, then the east, then finally the south. There's a commander leading each group which'll drive up the enemy's already high amount of leadership stars. They need to be cut down quickly, but it'll be hard keeping your southern team alive unless they're all packing huge defensive bulk.

For me, I have two people that can deal with the commander squads. One is Isabelle, but I need her to hit S rank in spears so she can wield the Master Spear. Doing so means she can two shot most of the enemies with relative ease.

The other? Emilia. Her absolute godlike self granting her some amazing level ups means she can take a couple Nosferatu tomes and tank through all the damage if she wants. There's a better option though.

On turn 2, Angelus returns from the south if you sent him away in 22x. If you're using Zahri, he'll give up his extra turn granting ways and embrace his Darkholm family blood by using dark tomes. More dark magic users is never bad...especially when he comes packing a tome for the family in the form of Dirge. It's a Nosferatu tome with low mt, but very high crit and extremely light. Angelus, you're going to have to hand that over to Emilia so she can laugh as she creates a huge mound of corpses in her wake.

It's not all bad for Angelus though. He gets +5 mag upon returning so give him a decent dark tome and you could very well be surprised at his contribution. He makes very good use of one or two Eternal Seals to gain more stats if you wish too.

As for returning to the life of a bard, either Zahri needs to shuffle off this mortal coil or she & Angelus need to get an A rank support. Clearly I'm going for the latter!

With that all out of the way, what do our two teams of three have to contend with? Some potentially nasty crit happy enemies as Darius on the west side finds out by being victim to a near death experience due to a Thoron crit. Thankfully my western team has my bulky attackers in Darius, Tendaris, and Varg.

The eastern squad is basically my assassination squad. None can take too many huge hits, but when one can easily fall back thanks to Canto+ (Kurt), one is a very effective healer & magic attacker (Shay), and the other just gives it to his foes (Crixus), they won't have too much trouble advancing.

Shay does have one big task though. She's gonna Rescue everyone outside that isn't going to deal with the commander squads inside to safety.

Most importantly, you're going to want to get Jakka inside first. John's on the east side and he can talk & recruit him to our side. If you have Jesse or Natalie along, they can do this as well.

John has one glaring issue at first sight...his speed is bad and his growth is likewise poor. He makes up for this though by having such insane bulk that he can usually afford to take a double hit, assuming the attacker isn't using a brave weapon or gets a lucky crit. 16 con also ensures he can use something like Aura without losing any speed. Couple all this with solid growths in everything that isn't str & spd and you have someone who can be quite effective for the endgame.

John's personal skill is Voice of Peace, causing all enemies within two tiles of him to deal 2 points less of damage. Rather useful!

Cyrus can also be recruited, but doing so is a bit...complicated. You'll see next time.
