Andre Ward retired on Thursday at the age of 33. The pound for pound best fighter in the world recently defeated Sergey Kovalev with body shots (some of which were low blows) to retain his title, but said today that his body does not want to take any more damage. Ward, a Jordan sponsored athlete in the world of boxing, drew in sizable crowds throughout his time in the ring, and it very much seems like unless a money fight is available, he will stay retired.
