SEIZURE WARNING Flashing Lights

Here we have a super boss, Angra Mainyu, and you know what, I actually enjoyed thinking about how to get through this boss. It still has its bullshits but overall it's a pretty nice fight. The general strategy is to deplete its MP by using Soul Spring (absorbs ~1k MP) to force it to use Osmose, after that, we deplete our MP as well so Angra Mainyu absorbs no MP. Angra Mainyu has 9999MP which would take around 10 Soul Springs - you can get 18 Soul Springs by using Lady Luck's Bribe ability on a Lich found in Mi'hen High Road. Anyhow, here's how my run went

Start with Psychic Dressphere
- Immediately Cast Time Trip for everyone
- Cast Excellence whenever Time Trip is cast
*Excellence LASTS LONGER when cast during Time Trip AND LASTS FURTHER when not using damage-dealing commands
- By this point, you're practically unaffected by any damage from Angra Mainyu but are affected by Abnormal Status
- Cast Express after for Haste
- Immediately kill Angra Mainyu's Right Arm (your Left, it has 5440HP) because it will inflict party-wide abnormal status
- Once its Right Arm dies, you'll have enough time to use 10 Soul Springs to completely deplete Angra Mainyu's MP (don't bother killing it again while you're in the process of using 10 Soul Springs)
- After the 10 Soul Springs, immediately Attack its Right Arm again until it dies (use Attack because it's faster)
- Angra Mainyu having no MP can't revive the Right Arm and will use Osmose, but your Excellence is still in effect so it won't drain any MP from your party
- Now use Psychic Bomb to kill the Left Arm
- When both Arms are dead, your Excellence buff is most likely still in effect
- Take this chance to get buffs across your Garment Grid then settle on the Gunner dressphere
- Use Gunner's Target MP until all YOUR MP gets depleted (you can have just 1 of the girls use Target MP and then have the other 2 use damage-dealing skills, but I was paranoid so I had all of them keep using Target MP)
- By this point, neither your party nor Angra Mainyu has enough MP to use
- Clear any abnormal status then Trigger Happy Angra Mainyu to death (you might need to recast Haste via Chocobo Feather OR Wing for party-wide Haste)

You see, Final Fantasy X-2 is not totally bad, the story is nice and the battle system is good - but god damn, traversing around is so fucking annoying: controls being taken over, unnecessary long animations and scripts, missing a treasure chest forever, you can't pass a point just because, stupid UIs, and many frustratingly clunky stuff
