Animal Crossing: Loading NES ROMs from a Gamecube Memory Card
Played on a real, unmodified Gamecube.
There's a blank NES item in this game that seemingly does nothing, but it turns out it actually checks your Gamecube Memory Cards for NES ROMs to play. Officially, there was no way to get these files, but using a program called ACNESCreator and any way to put GCI files onto a Gamecube Memory Card (I used GCMM on my modded Wii), you can play virtually any NES game in Animal Crossing.
There are a few compatibility issues with certain games and obviously these days there are many better ways to play NES games, but it's still really neat that this exists, and it means you can play almost any NES game on a completely unmodified Gamecube.
This program can also be used for other stuff such as creating patches and possibly even arbitrary code execution, but to be honest I don't care enough about this game to really bother with it (the town you're seeing in this video is from 2004).
