I always love it when a game has unlockable extras - it makes it seem like you are getting more for your money. While this became common as a bonus from the 32-Bit era onwards it was less common in the 16-bit era (or earlier). It makes it like extras on a DVD when you can access this sort of thing.

In 1994 Namco released a numbered sequel to their smash hit arcade sensation Pac-Man on both Super Nintendo and Sega Megadrive/Genesis. Unusually it is a kind of point and click adventure.

You can however unlock Ms Pac-Man on the SNES game as well as the original Pac-Man. See my other videos

As Ms Pac-Man had already had a standalone release on the Sega console they swapped it out for Pac Jr. I will upload videos for this.

To unlock the Pattern Test on the SNES game type in password PCMNPTT at the password screen. Press Up on the D-Pad to advance to the next frame. There are lliterally hundreds of frames of animation for your viewing pleasure.

The game runs fine but my capture card seems to struggle with the SNES so it appears to lag/music speeds up slows down but I believe this is the laptop struggling. This is played on original hardware and runs fine in the flesh.

I'm also trying a different way of uploading so please bear with me.

Uploaded under fairplay. No money is being made from this video.
