Milton Keynes is covered by Redways - essentially dedicated cycle paths that cover the whole city. This makes it ideal for Delivery Robots.

These happy little fellows buzz around navigating the redways and delivering food and shopping. There are dozens of them so they are a fairly common sight.

They are autonomous and equipped with a range of sensors. You'll often see them stopping to cross pathways etc or sometimes three of them will get in a tangle as each waits for the others to move - like a very polite robotic Mexican stand off!

Will be interesting to see how this develops over the years and whether other cities adopt it.
