Gentlemen, I like shmups.
Gentlemen, I really like shmups...
No, gentlemen, I love shmups!
I love bullet-hells. I love kuso-games.
I love methodical-gems. I love doujin-games.
I love chaining. I love grazing.
I love milking bosses for gems, and chips.
Flying across space, on fields, over war-zones, in forests, through frozen tundras, through deserts, on the sea, in the air. I love every type of shmup that can be played on this earth.
I love blasting enemies to smithereens with autofire salvos that thunder across the enemy lines.
My heart leaps with joy whenever an enemy plane survives 3 bombs and is then shot to pieces.
And there is nothing like a pilot using a Tiger to empty-lock enemy tanks. I feel wonderful when maids come out the sides of the screen only to be mowed down by my kakusei charge, it's such an exquisite feeling.
I love it when platoons of fairies brandish their spellcards flying into my master spark. It moves me deep within my heart to watch a new player bombing over and over on the top of a near-dead boss.
I love the sight of credit-feeders being ridiculed in forums, it's such an irresistible pleasure.
And there is nothing more arousing, than the sounds made by veterans dropping like flies, screaming in agony as their minds gets cut down by constant resets!
When a band of pitiful scorers make their final stand with nothing but their will, only to have their arms smashed to injury by carpal tunnel, I'm in ecstasy.
I love it when my extends are ravaged by a TLB's final pattern.
It's very sad to fail reaching stages and bosses that you were supposed to be consistent at, and seeing all that energy, your planning and practice go to waste.
I love to be crushed under the heel of Japanese and Chinese superplayers. The humiliation, as my routes becomes more survival-based, avoiding the scoring strategies they've laid bare.
Gentlemen... All I ask for is high-scores. With a leaderboard so grand as to make Arcadia itself tremble! Gentlemen, my fellow players in arms. What is it that you really want?
Do you wish for higher scores as I do? Do you wish for merciless competition? Do you wish for superplays which potential is built with blood, sweat, and tears?
...Very well. Then scores is what you shall have.

True Last Boss - Evaccania Doom: 43:25
It seems as though fate is not without a sense of irony.
This is something I have been working towards for quite a long time now. It kind of makes me wish I didn't do that tiny little parody of Jaimers' description in my 482m video, who would've thought that would come back to bite me in the ass later.
If you've seen my last video, the main special thing about that one was that I managed to No-Miss Doom. This run, however, was the complete opposite. I somehow managed to No-Miss all the way to Doom, and then died several times there. I lost quite a lot of score because of him! And now that I think about it, I've now no-missed to the TLB in both DOJWL and Ketsui, that's pretty interesting I think.
When I went into the Evaccania boss-fight, something that I consider to be really epic happened. "Libera me" From Hell started playing on my music player. It was absolutely amazing, when the opera singing kicked in after the rap verse, it aligned perfectly with Doom spawning. It's especially interesting because the game's title "Ketsui: Kizuna Jigoku Tachi" is "Determination: Hellbound Bonds" in English, I mean, really? A game about heading into hell and Libera me From Hell playing with the perfect timing during the last bosses? What's the chance of that happening, right? The lyrics of it fit perfectly as well, a better song couldn't have been picked.
And here's every replay I've made for the games I scored, please read the readme before you do anything! https://www.dropbox.com/s/z962jxzi0zakrja/Pazzy's replays.7z
Another funny thing is that this was the 2nd run after I changed the position of my hand-cam. This was just supposed to be a test run which I would use to see what it looked like but then I ended up clearing. Now I've got no choice but to use it, I hope you guys like it more than the view in the previous video!
I might've added too many annotations to this video.... Oh well, you guys can just turn it off if you want to!
Now, I'm sure some of you guys are curious as to what my next goal is. Right now I'm gonna prioritize playing the games on my backlog and or new games that are coming out and I'll be keeping my next main project to myself. Throughout 2016 pretty much the only things I played were DOJ and Ketsui, so I've missed a lot of stuff!
