Announcing the GamersNexus Toolkit for Tear-Downs & PC Building
We're very excited to announce our new GN Tear-Down Toolkit! GN has been working on manufacturing and designing this product for over a year now. Buy the GN toolkit here: https://store.gamersnexus.net/products/gamersnexus-tear-down-toolkit (if you buy a signed toolkit, there's a chance it will also be one of the 50 numbered ones).
Full details on the website linked above! We'll recap some basics below:
We invested a lot of thought, time, money, and experience into designing and developing this toolkit. Tools are used in the GN lab every single day, so we wanted to build tools in the way we like them: Well-balanced in weight, using strong metals, and with a driver shaft that gives some torque for tighter screws. Each of the tool types is detailed below:
- Phillips PH1
- Phillips PH0
- Phillips PH00
- Phillips PH000
- Custom Hex Head 5.0mm (ground-down exterior for capacitor clearance)
- Custom Hex Head 4.0mm (ground-down exterior for capacitor clearance)
- Allen 1.5mm
- Allen 2.0mm
- Allen 2.5mm
- Torx 6
The tool bag is also custom-stitched and made for GN, including a zipper pocket with some cards providing guidance on common video card disassembly procedures. The zipper pocket is also useful for holding all those screws you forgot to put back in that one time, extra thermal pads, or tubes for thermal paste.
The driver heads are pre-magnetized on 8 of the 10 screwdrivers, ensuring that the screws follow the screwdriver once untightened from their threads. The other 2 unmagnetized drivers are the Hex 4.0 and 5.0 heads, which we've purposefully left unmagnetized so that screws don't get stuck in the hex heads. We also ground-down the outside of the hex head for better clearance of small capacitors or other components.
