Another Raise the Black Flag Strat
11As soon as you get the save icon in the end screen of Prizes of Plunder, you can alt-f4 out of the game and restart. This will put you on the Salt Key dock without having started Raise the Black Flag. This then allows you to go to the Harbourmaster and do upgrades early, meaning the rest of the memory is much faster as you have access to mortars and heavy shot.
The one unfortunate thing about this strategy with the current route is that I do not have all of the money required to do all of the upgrades that I wan't until I get to the start of Sugarcane and its Yields. Still worth doing though, saves approximately 30 seconds.
