Anthem - Ranger - Patch 1.0.4 Ralner's + Combo Build
Been using this build for the Ranger for a while now, since pre-1.0.3. Basically, I use Ralner's to prime targets, and detonate with Recurring Vengeance (Masterwork Seeker Missile).
When 1.0.3 dropped (IIRC) Ralner's was buffed according to the patch notes. But it had an added effect/proc every 5th hit that deals big single target damage, that is affected by +fire damage, and the scaling provided by your item/power level.
With the release of Patch 1.0.4 came some buffs to the Ranger. Most noteable in regards to this build, are these two:
Elemental Ops
Was: Increases fire damage and max heat capacity by 20%, and fire resistance by 20%. Increases elemental effects applied to enemies by 20%.
Now: Increases fire damage and max heat capacity by 50%, and fire resistance by 50%. On a hit streak (5), applies acid to the target.
Recurring Vengeance:
Was: Upgraded Seeking Missile - Combo Effect: Impact. After defeating an enemy, regain 100% charge, can occur once every 7.5 seconds.
Now: Upgraded Seeking Missile - Combo Effect: Impact. Detonating a combo grants 100% charge.
This means, higher burst proc from Ralner's, and more detonators from Recurring Vengeance/Elemental Ops acid proc.
Gear I used are basically just 5 masterwork components including the new Elemental Ops, a legendary Tip of the Spear component, with a legendary Ralner's, & a legendary Vassa's as a secondary weapon. Since higher item/power level provides big damage boosts to item/weapon/ability procs, melee and ultimate damage, I just went with the highest item/power level that the gears I have can provide.
