First PvP Battle in Many Months. Enemy Vice-Admiral player struck his color/flag i.e., surrendered, almost without a fight. Nineteen minutes of chasing him in the open world. He had an AI merchant ship in a fleet with him. I acquired the help of a noob player in a small ship thinking he would be faster than me to initiate the attack, but alas, my much bigger ship was faster than his small ship. Weird.
I took the enemy ship. A GOLD-QUALITY Trincomalee frigate. Gold quality means the perfect ship and is exceedingly rare. I gave the ship to the new player who stuck with me throughout the chase and battle although contributing nothing (not in the footage). His gold-quality Trincomalee was tricked out with the finest upgrades and cannons, AND HE DID NOT EVEN PUT A FIGHT TO DEFEND IT. The enemy still had a full complement of crew in his Trincomalee when the battle started (325 souls). I had a slightly larger crew, but the Trincomalee's full complement is 325 crewmembers. I gave the ship along with fitted upgrades and good i.e., expensive cannons to that new player. My ship is a standard-quality Trincomalee. My rank in PvP is also Vice Admiral. Used to be Admiral before the wipe on release from Early Access.
