11Antimatter is the opposite of matter, in that it has the same mass, but opposite electrical charge. Antimatter is often portrayed in sci fi as a volatile and extremely dangerous and powerful material. How is antimatter portrayed in The Expanse's 8th novel Tiamat's Wrath by SA Corey, and the last book in the Three Body Problem series "Death's End" by Cixin Liu. Minor spoilers for both.

In this video we go over the science and physics of what we know about antimatter, it's formation, history, role in the early universe and big bang, and particle accelerators. How particle accelerators are used to make and study exotic materials like antimatter.
We will also discuss how antimatter is used, portray, and affects the plots of two novels. In The Expanse's 8th Novel Tiamat's Wrath, where Bobbie Draper goes up against the Magnetar class battleship Heart of the Tempest wielding an antimatter bomb. In Death's End, the animation covers the scene when Cheng Xin awakens from hibernation to discover what Wade had been up to while she slept. Had Wade accomplished developing curvature propulsion? Why did he make antimatter matter bullets with a the circumsolar particle accelerator?
