This is me VeeKiraRay playing one of Antstream Arcade many challenges. The game in question is "Gekirindan" which is a vertically scrolling shooter arcade video game developed and published by Taito and originally released on September 1995. The challenge name is "I Will Survive" and the description is "How many seconds can you survive until you eventually destroy the boss? The longer you survive the better the result. Seconds are deducted every time you die.".
So your goal is to survive as long as possible with every death costing you -5 seconds on the final score. The boss will has two phases with the first lasting around to around 3 minutes and 15 seconds and the second phase to 6 minutes and 23 seconds. The times include the transforming phases.
The boss has three targets to hit in each phase. If you destroy the center one it will advance to the next phase or end the challenge so you want to avoid it. Destroying one of the sides gives you breathing room to better dodge the incoming bullets. If you however destroy both sides the boss has an alternate attack pattern.
