This is me VeeKiraRay playing one of Antstream Arcade many challenges. The game in question is "Super Methane Bros" which is mix of Bubble Bobble and Tumble Pop arcade styled game for the Amiga. The challenge name is "SomeOne Call Pest Control" and the description is "Show those local pests what the Methane Bros can do by obtaining as many points as possible with 1 life."

The challenge is a 1 life challenge from the start of the game and it doesn't help even if you get extra lives during the challenge. Once you get hit you are out for the count.


The game idea of combining trapping enemies in your projectiles (Bubble Bobble) and then capturing them and launching them against the wall (TumblePop) is a really neat idea. The game would be a definete classic but there are some slowdowns and a bit floaty controls that can frustrate.

The music might sound a bit monotone at first but it does pick up the futher you get to listen to it. Found myself humming to the tune a few times while playing.
